Crossing The Border

April 14, 2013 by A Husky Life 7 Comments

On Friday Rocco went on his first cross-border trip. It was a dry-run in preparation for our trip next weekend to Vashon Island, WA. To make sure there are no surprises and everything goes smoothly next weekend, we decided to hop over to Blaine and see what it’s like to cross the border with a dog. Turns out it is easy and hassle free. All you need is a rabies certification and off you go.

Next Saturday we will be heading over to Washington State for some sight-seeing and then on Sunday over to Vashon Island  to visit the Northwest School of Animal Massage, where I received my Small Animal Massage Practitioner certification. I will be attending a TTouch seminar and Rocco will be getting a massage from our instructor – lucky boy!

Oh what a cool thing to be certified in! I don’t think I knew that certification for that existed.

Hi Ann, I didn’t know either, until a few years ago I started researching hip dysplasia and found out about animal massage, aquatherapy and other body work modalities. I found it absolutely fascinating and decided to pursue it as a career. I’ll definitely be writing more on the subject 🙂
