New Brighton Park Off-Leash Area

January 14, 2014 by A Husky Life 3 Comments

New Brighton Park Off-Leash Area is located in Northeast Vancouver and has seasonal hours. The off-leash times are May 1 to September 30 from 5:00am to 10:00am and October 1 to April 30 from 5:00am to 10:00pm. The park is clean, spacious and has access to the beach and water. We used to live in the area a few years ago, but last weekend was the first time I brought Rocco there. What I really like about it, is the variety of things to explore. Rocco is a big mouser (luckily never catches anything!), so the port and rail tracks make for a fascinating place to sniff and look for mice. There is also another small off-leash park within walking distance (Dusty Greenwell Park, pictured on the map), and once you are there, Burrard View Park is worth exploring.
