TTouch Workshop on Vashon Island

April 24, 2013 by A Husky Life 12 Comments

On Sunday I was very fortunate to go back and visit Paxhia Farm on Vashon Island, where I completed my Small Animal Massage training from the NorthWest School of Animal Massage.

The trip was an absolute delight, even though it was raining the whole day. Vashon Island is a beautiful place regardless of the weather. And the restaurant selection and food offerings are astounding!

My favourite place, however, is Paxhia Farm with all its wonderful residents. The place is brimming with positive energy and, after a while, you can feel its calming effect. It is the perfect place to learn new things and recharge your batteries.

This Sunday the school hosted Lori Stevens for a TTouch workshop. It was a day packed full with new information, which I will definitely incorporate in my massage practice. We also got to enjoy some demos.

To end the day, Rocco got to enjoy a massage from Lola Michelin, the founder and Director of Education of the NorthWest School of Animal Massage. He is, no doubt, a very spoiled boy!

Wow! Do you live in Washington? I live in Marysville. Our trainer is a TTouch practitioner and has classes in the summer. It really helped when our puppies were littermates.

Hi Kimberly, I live just North of the border, in Vancouver, BC – which is pretty close ๐Ÿ™‚ I’ve read a lot about TTouch and it was very interesting to learn from Lori, who is truly amazing at what she does. She is based out of Seattle and will be teaching another class on Vashon later this spring.

Wow, that looks like a great place just to unwind. I’d love to learn more about TTouch and how to use it on my dogs.

Hi Jodi, I think TTouch is an amazing tool, it addresses an issue on so many levels. Depending on where you are located, I’m sure there are TTouch practitioners in your area, maybe even offering classes. I have a couple of books I bought, I found them very helpful, but it’s always nice to attend a workshop in person. I’ll definitely post more on the subject!
