To Buy or Not to Buy

November 23, 2010 by A Husky Life Leave a Comment

For the past couple of weeks this, oh how important, question has been pondered and discussed here at the Urban Zoo: To buy or not to buy a Christmas Tree.  Based on previous year’s experience I am tempted to say: NO, never! But…the guys had so much fun….to buy or not to buy….sigh.

Why does the tree have a tail...?!

Well of course...Vasco the explorer.

Our "Angel"

In the end we never did dress up the tree as we knew that whatever won’t get broken will get eaten…so really, what’s the point? And as cute as it may seem on the pictures, what isn’t captured is our struggle to untangle Vasco from the tree branches, detach him from the sap covered needles and then clean the needles and sap out of his fur while he is biting and scratching trying to get back on the tree…

And if that seems amusing, try this: Rocco hid a secret stash of chocolates in the tree stand. I kid you not.  One day he raided a chocolate box which inevitably got left within his reach, knowing all the sweet goodness will be taken away from him immediately, he decided to hide some for later. It wasn’t until few weeks later that we realized why he keeps going up to the tree licking around in the stand…naively we assumed to drink water.

So here is the question: To buy or not to buy…
