Time to Forage

August 5, 2013 by A Husky Life 5 Comments

The summer is slowly coming to an end, as evidenced by Canada Geese preparing for migration.

The geese are not the only ones filling their stomachs. Rocco decided that it is time to forage and he has embarked on his annual search of blackberries. He can smell a blackberry bush from meters away and he insists on checking each and every one, just in case the berries are ripe and ready for eating. It’s still a bit early in the season, but since we had a very hot and dry July, there are already some bushes with sweet berries ready for picking.

Rocco looks cute doing that. I like to check the brambles for smells, but I wouldn’t eat the berries!
