Good video, good lesson…how about tips on how to get the dog to stop pulling on the leash? Dakota the Corgi would pull, and I would do the “about face” several times till she started to look up at me when she had to stop. She got much better at walking with me and not pulling.

That’s a very good tip. When I adopted Rocco he had no concept of polite walking…he would pull like his life depended on it. The “about face” turn really helped with his training. I will get into that next week 🙂

I walk nicely on the lead…until I see a potential new friend, something to chase (squirrel, bird etc) or something to eat!

Great tips and when I am out walking with my walker, we always spend a little time in “walking nicely”. In fact that is the key word they say to me and I understand that I need to be close and pay attention…then I get a treat.

You are such a good girl, Maggie 🙂 We do the same thing. Alternating between sniffing and exploring and walking nicely. Great brain work-out!
