HexBug

June 11, 2012 by A Husky Life Leave a Comment

My two cats are very finicky when it comes to toys. Ilyich loves to play with discarded pieces of paper and Vasco fetches foam balls, occasionally they will play with feathers on a stick. They couldn’t care less for new toys, until I found this great little guy:

The HexBug is cute robotic bug that looks and behaves just like the little creepers it imitates. According to the manufacturer: “Some of the products are so animated, they even fool cats, dogs and some humans into thinking they are alive!” Yup, their movement pattern is identical to a bug. The cats absolutely love chasing after it and are always surprised by the sudden change in direction.

There is a huge assortment of different types of bugs and colours, you can find them here: http://www.hexbug.com/

Make sure to supervise your cat during play  as they can chew and possibly swallow pieces of the toy.
