If you live within driving distance of Surrey, BC and you own a canine friend you have to check out Dogwood Park. It is truly a one in a kind place, made possible through the initiative and hard work of local residents and dog owners. The large area of the park is fully fenced, has a dog rinse and a drinking station.
The dogs can enjoy a huge meadow, large pond and forest trails, did I mention it’s fenced? It also has a small, fenced area for little dogs, picnic tables, benches and toilets. Even though it’s a bit of a ride from Vancouver, the trip is well worth it. The people are friendly and the dogs are happy playing in a large, SAFE area.
It’s funny to see Rocco all torn between the meadow and the pond….and wait! the forest….with smaller ponds and bushes to explore…doggy heaven. Plan at least two hours, your dog will not want to leave!
