The Birds and The Bees

July 30, 2010 by A Husky Life Leave a Comment

I am SO excited! The Mason Bees decided to lay their eggs in the houses I prepared for them. I didn’t think it would happen this year since the renovations left my balcony in a less than desirable state.

For the past little while, I’ve been reading about the dwindling number of bees and the hazards it will eventually pose to the ecosystem. This spring I decided to help the little pollinators by putting up special houses and potting their favourite plants.

Just one tube for now...but it's a good start

The House is still empty, maybe next year.

Oh, yes! and the birds…

I really have to practice my bird shots.
What a nice tail you got there!
